New LEAP-1A test cell
TAP Maintenance & Engineering will soon reach another important milestone, as we have completed construction on our renewed and certified engine test cell at our main base in Lisbon.
The new test cell is fully equipped and presently inducting engines and will support TAP ME’s full engine overhaul capability.
We have been a long-time service provider of MRO capabilities for CFMI’s engine models, and this new service line addition will enable the testing of the new engine type: LEAP-1A as well as maintaining the CFM56-5B, -7B and -5A.
The renewed test cell has been upgraded to make it compatible with the new generation of engines and will have a testing capacity of about 100 engines per year.
