TAP M&E participates in the main aviation industry international event
30/06/2011TAP Maintenance and Engineering (TAP M&E) was present at the 49th edition of the 'Paris Air Show', the main event in commercial and military aviation industry. Participation in this event is very important because it is the meeting place for the players of the segment, as manufacturers, component suppliers, equipment or services, providing in addition to meeting with customers and partners, initial contacts that can result in future business relationships.
This event, held every two years at Le Bourget Airport, near to Paris, France, brought together 2,100 exhibitors and was attended by 138,000 professional visitors. From Monday to Thursday event is open only to trade aviation and in the weekend, from Friday to Sunday, it is open to the general public. The event also receives visit from aviation enthusiasts of all ages, journalists around the world and political personalities, as well as group of students, who may admire the static display of various aircraft and watch the air show of many airplane models.
This year the event took place between 20 and 26 June and TAP M&E innovated in terms of booth's architecture and interactive equipment, through lighting and screens that react to visitors' movement. Highlight the set of screens where visitors could generate motion in the images, as to move laterally a plane, open the cowlings of an engine or turning the wheel of a landing gear (http://vimeo.com/27020613).
Aware of the importance of an event of this level, TAP M&E was represented by Marketing and Sales Team, Brazil and Portugal. TAP M&E is a MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), with a base in Portugal and two in Brazil, with capacity to offer heavy maintenance of airframe and components for the three major aircraft manufacturers (Airbus, Boeing and Embraer) as well as in engines of CFM and PW families.
