TAP M&E celebrates SATA Internacional 200,000 flight hours milestone

SATA Group was honoured by TAP Maintenance and Engineering (TAP M&E) on the 7th of March with a ceremony that marked the 200,000 flight hours milestone, achieved by SATA Internacional, with TAP M&E support along for over 16 years.

The ceremony, held in Ponta Delgada, was chaired by the President of the SATA Group, António de Menezes and by Jorge Sobral, TAP Member of the Executive Board for TAP M&E business unit and was attended by Directors and Managers of the SATA Group, the current TAP M&E Customer Manager to SATA and its predecessor.

Technical cooperation between SATA Group and TAP M&E goes back to November 1995, having started with a Boeing 737. Since it was established, SATA Internacional has progressively expanded its fleet, which today comprises four A320 and four A310 aircraft.

The range of services provided by TAP M&E to SATA Internacional includes engine, aircraft and components maintenance (including access to the stock) as well as engineering, planning and line maintenance (the last one on a non exclusive basis).
